Tandoori marinade

A marinade for chicken. The chicken can then be cooked in the oven, under the grill or on a barbecue.

What you need

juice of 2 small lemons
150 ml natural yogurt
75 ml vegetable oil
4 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
2 tsp paprika
2 tsp ground cumin
4 tsp ground turmeric
1/2 tsp ground ginger
2 tsp salt

Method

  1. Mix all ingredients together.

  2. Pour over the meat or poultry. Cover and leave to marinate for at least 2 days, turning food twice.

  3. Cook in oven, grill or on barbecue, basting with remaining marinade during cooking.
