Chef's salad

Serve with warm crusty bread for a filling and healthy lunch or a supper dish.

What you need

1 iceberg lettuce, finely shredded
1/2 cucumber, cut into thin slices
16 tomatoes, wiped and quartered
450 g cheddar cheese, cut into strips
450 g smoked ham, cut into strips
450 g cooked chicken, diced

Method

  1. Divide lettuce between serving bowls.

  2. Divide cucumber slices and tomato quarters into each bowl.

  3. Top with the cheese, ham and chicken.

  4. Serve with your favourite dressing.
