Spicy chicken tacos
Prefect for party food or a fun Saturday night meal.
What you need
- 6 tsp vegetable oil
- 375 g boneless skinless chicken breasts, diced
- 225 g hot taco sauce
- 4-5 taco shells
- 1 little gem lettuce, shredded
- 1 small red pepper, cored de-seeded and sliced
- 75 g cheddar cheese, grated
Method
Preheat oven to 180°C.
Heat the oil in a large saucepan. Add the chicken and fry for 5-10 min.
Stir in the sauce and cook for 10 min.
Meanwhile, heat the tacos in the oven for 2-3 min.
Fill the taco shells with the chicken mixture. Top with lettuce, pepper and cheese. Serve immediately.
Serving suggestion
Cook's tip
Cook empty taco shells in the microwave. Cook six at a time for 1 min on FULL power, standing the shells on the open edge.
