Quick cherry freezer jam
What you need
- 450 g fresh ripe cherries, washed and stoned
- 450 g sugar with pectin
- 6 tsp lemon juice, to taste
Method
Chop the cherries finely in a food processor. Transfer into a bowl with the sugar and lemon. Stir well and leave to stand at room temperature for several hours until the fruit has softened and the sugar has dissolved.
Pour into a plastic container. Seal, label and freeze until firm. Use within 9 months. Store in the fridge for up to 3 weeks once opened.
