Cheddar and apple toast
When you?re in a hurry?
What you need
- 100 g cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 red-skinned apple, cored and grated
- 3 tsp snipped fresh chives
- 3 tsp mayonnaise
- 4 slices bread
Method
Preheat grill to medium. Toast the bread.
In a bowl, mix together the cheese, apple, chives and enough mayonnaise to bind everything together.
Spoon the mixture onto the slices of toast. Place under the grill for 2-3 min or until mixture is golden brown and bubbling. Serve immediately.
Serving suggestion
Garnish with tomato and flat leaf parsley.
