Cheddar and apple toast

When you?re in a hurry?

What you need

100 g cheddar cheese, grated
1 red-skinned apple, cored and grated
3 tsp snipped fresh chives
3 tsp mayonnaise
4 slices bread

Method

  1. Preheat grill to medium. Toast the bread.

  2. In a bowl, mix together the cheese, apple, chives and enough mayonnaise to bind everything together.

  3. Spoon the mixture onto the slices of toast. Place under the grill for 2-3 min or until mixture is golden brown and bubbling. Serve immediately.
