Saucy bacon wrapped sausages

Stick these tasty little bites into half a melon or grapefruit when entertaining friends.

What you need

45 ml tomato ketchup
2 tsp mild mustard
6 tsp clear honey
3 tsp chopped fresh parsley
4 sausages
4 rashers rindless streaky bacon

Method

  1. In a large, shallow, rectangular dish, mix together the tomato ketchup, mustard, honey and parsley. Thread the sausages onto bamboo skewers. Tightly wrap a rasher of bacon around each sausage.

  2. Place the bacon-wrapped sausages in the dish and brush over the sauce mix. Cover and chill overnight.

  3. Preheat the grill to a medium heat.

  4. Remove the kebabs from the dish, brushing over the remaining sauce mix. Grill for 8-10 min, turning frequently or until thoroughly cooked.

  5. Leave the sausages to cool completely before serving on the skewers.
