Strawberry freezer jam
A great way to use up over-ripe strawberries - and it's so easy to make.
What you need
- 450 g very ripe strawberries
- 450 g sugar with pectin
- 6 tsp fresh lemon juice
Method
Put the fruit into a non-metallic bowl. Mash gently with a potato masher to crush the fruit. Stir in the sugar and lemon juice.
Leave covered in a warm place for 1-1 days, or until the sugar has dissolved.
Spoon into small plastic containers, or if using straightaway, pretty serving jars or dishes. Seal, cover and label.

Cook's tip
You could use raspberries, peaches or nectarines in this recipe instead of strawberries.
