Apples Breton-style

This quick and easy dessert is guaranteed to impress your guests.

What you need

1 tsp butter
2 apples, cored and cut into 1 1/4 cm thick slice
3 tsp brown sugar
freshly squeezed juice of 1/2 lemon
1 tsp ground cinnamon
6 tsp bourbon whisky

Method

  1. Melt the butter in a frying pan. Lay in the apple rings.

  2. Add the brown sugar and lemon juice. Cook for 5 min until sugar has caramelised.

  3. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Pour in the whisky. Set alight and flamb?. Serve immediately.
