Pate purses
Pate wrapped in filo pastry makes a delightful canape.
What you need
- 2 sheets filo pastry, 18 cm x 35cm
- 15 g butter, melted
- 50 g liver pate
Method
Preheat oven to 220°C. Lightly grease a baking sheet.
Brush the sheets of pastry with butter. Place one on top of the other, buttered side up. Cut the layered sheet into servings, 8 1/2 cm square.
Divide the pate into servings.
Place one piece of pate in the centre of each square. Gather up the edges to enclose the pate, forming a purse. Pinch together to seal.
Brush with remaining butter. Place on the baking sheet. Bake for 5-8 min or until golden. Serve hot or cold.
