Glazed swede with whisky
A special way to prepare swede when cooking a roast dinner.
What you need
- 675 g swede, peeled and cut into 1 cm pieces
- 40 g butter
- 100 g demerara sugar
- 6 tsp whisky
- seasoning
Method
Place swede in a pan with the butter, sugar, whisky and enough water to cover.
Bring to the boil. Cook uncovered over a high heat for 12-15 min or until water has evaporated to leave a buttery glaze.
Season and serve.
