Cheese straws
The perfect nibble with your glass of wine.
What you need
- 450 g puff pastry, cut into long strips, approx. 15 cm x 4cm/6in x 1in
- 225-350 g cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 pinch salt
Method
Preheat oven to 220°C.
Lay the pastry strips on a flat surface and sprinkle with cheese. Twist around to form twirls. Place on a non-stick baking tray. Sprinkle with a pinch of salt.
Bake in oven for 6-8 min until crisp and golden.
Remove from oven and serve.
