Mustard sauce

This sauce can be served hot or cold. Use a yellow mustard in this recipe - either English or French is fine - to get a good colour.

What you need

15 g butter
2-3 tsp ready prepared mustard
2 tsp wine vinegar
1/2 tsp sugar
seasoning
1 pinch paprika
2-3 tsp cream

Method

  1. Melt the butter in a small saucepan. Add the mustard.

  2. Stir in the vinegar, sugar, seasoning and paprika.

  3. Stir in the cream. Mix well.

  4. Serve hot or cold as required.
