Simple carbonara

An easy way to make carbonara, plus any ingredients you want.

What you need

spaghetti
1 large egg
handful of parmesan cheese
Chopped rindless unsmoked streaky bacon
half a medium white onion, chopped
half a bell pepper, chopped
1-2 garlic cloves
seasoning

Method

  1. Start by chopping everything. Then in a medium high pan, add the bacon. When the bacon is well cooked(good enough to eat), remove it temporarily, but leave the fat in the pan. Now add the onion then bell pepper. Season to your taste. Add the bacon again, and chopped garlic.

  2. Beat one egg, and mix with parmesan cheese. Cook your pasta like you always would. Drain the pasta, and throw into a big bowl, RIGHT away add the beaten egg/cheese mixture to the hot pasta, and stir.

  3. Throw down the pan-fried ingredient and mix.
