Sangria

A typical Spanish drink that is served by the jugful in bars and restaurants everywhere in Spain. Serve well chilled. Great with paella.

What you need

1 l red wine
500 ml lemonade
175 ml brandy
3-4 drops angostura bitters
juice of 1 orange
To serve
1 lemon, sliced

Method

  1. In a jug mix together the red wine, lemonade, brandy, Angostura bitters and orange juice. Add plenty of ice and chill for 1 hour before serving.

  2. Pour into glasses. Decorate with lemon slices and serve.
