Blackcurrant jam - microwave
What you need
- 550 g blackcurrants
- 450 ml boiling water
- 675 g preserving sugar
Method
Remove the stalks from the blackcurrants. Wash the fruit. Drain well. Place in a large bowl with the boiling water.
Bring to the boil on 100% (FULL) power then cook for about 5 min until fruit is tender. Stir in the sugar until dissolved.
Cook uncovered for 25-30 min until setting point is reached, stirring every 5 min.
Leave to stand for 20 min. Pour into warmed jars. Seal and label.
