Quick apple sauce
Serve with roast or grilled pork.
What you need
- 450 g cooking apples, peeled, cored and sliced into rings or slices
- 45 ml water
- 25 g butter
- 1/2 tsp sugar, or to taste
Method
Put the apples into a pan with the water. Cover and cook gently for about 10 min, stirring occasionally, until soft and thick. Leave to cool a little.
Either push through a nylon sieve or put into a food processor or blender. Process until a smooth puree is formed.
Add the butter and sugar to taste.
